New: Road Trip at OHS: - 11.28.2011
On Thursday, November 17th, FBLA members and advisors attended the Road Trip at Osbourn High Schoool in Manassas. The 12 members and 2 advisors left school at approximately 10:45am to set out towards BAE Systems in Manassas. After everyone received their visitor passes at the business, we were led into a conference room where we listened to a speaker describe what BAE Systems is all about. The presentation lasted about 30 minutes and was followed by a few minutes of questions. Then, we began a tour around the facility to observe the workers and equipment that run the company on a daily basis. Upon the completion of our 30 minute route around the building, we thanked everyone and headed to lunch.

Apple Federal Credit Union- is looking for more FBLA students to help in the bank. We need student workers to help run and market the Bobcat Branch here at Battlefield. We have many new promotions that are in full swing and will look to reward students with free lunch as an incentive for their work. Look for the AFCU (Apple Federal Credit Union), better known as the Bobcat Branch to be located in the same area as the School Store. The Bobcat Branch will only be open during 5th block lunch (A, B, C, D, E). For more information about Bobcat Branch check us out the web site on our school fusion page.

At this time we are looking for any FBLA student workers at the Apple Branch here at Battlefield. Apple will pay student workers for working and bring in new accounts that they refer. Below is just some areas to look at:

• $5.00 per student opening a new account with a checking account. ALL STUDENTS UNDER 18 OPENING CHECKING MUST HAVE AN ADULT AS A JOINT OWNER!!
